September 2018 GHC Regular Monthly Meeting: HCC & WorkKeys - Building a Better Workforce

Dr. Klauber shared with us his vision of how to build a better workforce, and subsequently provide employment opportunities, in Washington County via the “WorkKeys” program – a national system which rates communities on their work readiness skills. Community members from HCC, the Chamber, and WCPS will travel to Little Rock, AR to learn about the program, assessment, and goal setting. Washington County would be the first county in the state of MD to participate, other counties have expressed an interest in forming a partnership to see the plan to fruition.
